Gerard Butler has been cast as the male lead in another romantic comedy, this time with Katherine Heigl, called The Ugly Truth, according to Variety.

Butler is just out of his predictable rom-com P.S. I Love You, and Heigl is currently starring in the paint-by-numbers movie 27 Dresses. Just like a shell game they’re all shuffled around between mediocre movies.

Story centers on a “romantically challenged” morning show producer (Heigl) who is reluctantly embroiled by her chauvinistic correspondent (Butler) in a series of outrageous tests to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love.

But they end up together.  That’s not a spoiler, just an accurate prediction.

The picture on the left is a horrible Photoshop, but I found it funny to post a picture of Heigl in Knocked Up after she called the movie sexist.  Then she stars in typical “chick flicks” including this one where she learns love from a chauvinist.  Brilliant.

Writing and directing is the team from Legally Blonde.  So if you were into that, then um… disregard my above disgust and enjoy yourself.
