When Steven Spielberg’s company Dreamworks bought the rights to Lovely Bones, Jackson’s next movie, they both expressed a desire to work with one another.

Apparently that mutal heterosexual fondness for one another is going to mean a trilogy around the comic book character Tintin. Yeah…

Each will direct one of the 3-D animation movies, with the third still up in the air.

Tintin is a different kind of comic book movie. This isn’t the same hero like a Spider-Man or Superman. This is a boring one.

I’m disappointed that these two brilliant filmmakers are going to turn from making epic films to an animated kid’s story. I guess there is an audience, but I’m not in it. Maybe Spielberg and Jackson will change my mind about Tintin and his zany cartoon adventures. They’re certainly qualified.
