Trailer for ‘Legend of the Guardians’

Last week Warner Bros released this trailer for Legend of the Guardians, a children’s movie from director Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen).  The film was recently changed from the impossible-to-pronounce Guardians of Ga’Hoole (the title of the novel) to this and it was a wise decision.  Get it?  Wise.  Like owls…

The trailer looks beautiful, but doesn’t show much more than flying and talking owls.  I guess they were next on the list of animals to get the anthropomorphic treatment.  I’m crossing my fingers for lemurs next.  Snyder’s slow motion style is present, as is the soaring song “Kings and Queens” by 30 Seconds to Mars.  The voices were done by Sam Neill, Hugo Weaving, Emilie de Ravin, Jim Sturgess, Geoffrey Rush, Helen Mirren, and Abbie Cornish.
