Logan Lerman Briefly Rumored as Spider-Man

Published by Jeff Leins on: February 4th, 2010

Logan LermanLogan Lerman, the 18-year-old starring in Fox’s Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, entered himself into the race of actors vying for the new Spider-Man.

“There have been a few discussions, it’s definitely something I’m looking into,” Logan told Billy Bush of Access Hollywood on Thursday.  “It’s just, you know, conversations are starting. It’s a long process with the studio and the producers and everything. But it’s definitely a project that I’m really interested in, of course. I’d love to focus on the human element a little bit more. It’d be such a fun experience.”

Well, Sony and his management aren’t aware that he’s looking into much of anything.  THR reports both sides are denying any “business discussions” took place with Lerman and “no offers have been made” to anyone.  That kid is going to get a talking to.

Add Lerman’s name to the list of every other fresh-faced actor in Hollywood.  They’ve all been rumored at this point, now it’s just a matter of time before Sony announces their pick for Spider-Man: Back to High School (my title, not theirs).

Marc Webb has officially signed to direct the reboot that will re-tell the origins of how Peter Parker became Spider-Man.  For more details on the Summer 2012 release, check out this previous article.
