Paramount Pictures has released the theatrical trailer for Iron Man 2! It’s as kick ass as promised with plenty of Stark snark from Robert Downey Jr., high-flying Iron Man, and amped up action. There are glimpses of Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell, plus a short scene with Gwyneth Paltrow. Mickey Rourke’s Russian accent sounds great and the Whiplash suit is a flashy concept.
Very cool right up until Don Cheadle appears as War Machine and they start unleashing bullets on advancing enemies. Then it’s just plain awesome.
Watch it right here or in high-definition at Apple.com:
This trailer may be playing in front of Avatar this weekend, based on the timing alone. It’s definitely attached to Sherlock Holmes, also starring Robert Downey Jr. Iron Man 2 is scheduled for May 7, 2010.

Below is the final clue in a string of fake newspaper clippings that went no where. Fans seemed eager to solve the riddle or piece together an elaborate puzzle, and all they got were four words (Secret Stark Confession Revealed) and the year 1969. I suppose the fourth word ultimately finished the web URL secretstarkconfessionrevealed.com, which takes you to the trailer above, but it only meant you had the opportunity to watch a countdown to the scheduled trailer debut. What a disappointment.
In case you missed the others: the first clue, the second clue, and the third clue. Take a look at the fourth (via LatinoReview):

Somebody post a comment if the trailer dies. Thanks.
