First Official Look: 4 ‘Karate Kid’ Remake Pics

Sony Pictures has released four images from The Karate Kid, a remake of the classic 1984 original produced by Will Smith and starring his 11-year-old son Jaden Smith.  We’ve seen a few set photos, but this is the first official look at Smith and Jackie Chan in training.  I guess the remake traded in deck sanding and car waxing for awkward poses on the Great Wall of China.

The story is essentially the same.  A new kid in town (Smith) is bullied by his classmates and learns martial arts (in this case kung fu, not karate) from the maintenance man (Chan) so he can defend himself against the students of Li Quan Ha’s Fighting Dragon school.  Here’s the full synopsis and title art, in case you’re some kind of masochist.
