Miley Cyrus is not a fan of Twilight. What a shocking, newsworthy announcement and yet one that will create a dilemma among tween audiences. I guess she won’t be showing up for The Twilight Saga: New Moon or drooling over a brooding, sparkly Robert Pattinson like many females this weekend. Where’s my false outrage torch…
But first, since this is a movie site, the 16-year-old entertainer is starring in an adaptation of Nicholas Spark’s upcoming novel The Last Song. If you’re unfamiliar with Sparks, he’s the best-selling author of The Notebook and A Walk to Remember, two beloved books and films with a predominantly lady audience. However, I will admit to sitting through The Notebook more than once. For Rachel McAdams, of course. I also own this t-shirt. Though I think we all can agree to disregard Nights in Rodanthe.
Unofficial synopsis: Cyrus stars as a rebellious girl sent to live with her father (Greg Kinnear) at a Southern beach town. They connect over their mutual love for music, and she meets a dude (Liam Hemsworth). Hopefully we all learn a valuable lesson about family.

Now that business is out of the way, let’s get back to Miley being, like, soooo catty. A backstage interview directed the second question about the Twilight phenomenon, which she quickly answered.
“I’ve never seen [Twilight], nor will I. I don’t believe in it. I don’t like vampires, I don’t like the wolf that pops out of the screen when I’m watching TV at night, I don’t want anything to do with it.”
OMG, can you believe she said that? Now you can watch the video where she, like, totally disses it. Oh no she didn’t! Or maybe she did and just gained a whole new group of fans. I don’t know and I’ve already lost interest.
I’m fully aware this is borderline news, but hopefully I didn’t lose you as a reader or your respect. I will, however, accept disappointed comments below.
