Columbia Pictures has released a teaser trailer for Grown Ups, a comedy (?) starring Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade, and Rob Schneider, who gets more lines this time. Also appearing are Salma Hayek, Steve Buscemi, Gary Busey, and Maria Bello.
It’s a wholly unfunny video that leaves you wondering what decade this is and wishing Chris Farley was still around. But hey, maybe people are dying for movies where Sandler is remarkably less funny than he was a decade ago or David Spade tries the same shtick. I’m glad Happy Madison Productions put together a little reunion of friends, but will it be any fun for the rest of us?
Here’s a synopsis followed by the trailer from Yahoo:
Five friends and former teammates reunite years later to honor the passing of their childhood basketball coach. With their wives and kids in tow, they spend the Fourth of July holiday weekend together at the lake house where they celebrated their championship years earlier. Picking up where they left off, they discover why growing older doesn’t mean growing up.
