Deleted Scene: Moon Bloodgood Topless in T4

Published by Jeff Leins on: October 31st, 2009

In the year leading up to Terminator Salvation, there was a lot of discussion about what the rating would and should be from the MPAA.  Fans, of course, wanted a hard R full of the same violence and language they’d grown accustomed to with the first three movies.  Warner Bros had other plans since the beginning, despite what director, McG, desperately (and falsely) claimed in front of audiences at comic book conventions and press engagements.

One scene in particular supposedly in contention at the time involved Moon Bloodgood undressing and going topless in the rain.  Bloodgood herself called it a “beautiful shot.”  McG, pretending to be battling for fandom, said he wanted to keep it in, while the rest of the rational world knew WB would get their PG-13 and nudity certainly didn’t fit into that broad appeal picture.

Thanks to the DVD (officially out December 1) deleted scenes, Moon Bloodgood’s goods are now on display via the Internet.  The clip isn’t nearly as risque as the Twitter pics and leaked photos of celebrities we see passed around virtually every other day.  With the rain and darkness, you hardly see much of anything any way.

Could PG-13 audiences have handled a tiny bit of side boob and dimly lit chest?  Not according to the MPAA.  But by common sense standards, anyone able to see the barrage of Terminator violence should be allowed to catch a glimpse of something less lewd than a National Geographic or a junior high health diagram.

Here’s the clip, which of course contains nudity (albeit brief):

What do you think? Nothing special, amazing, or are you scarred for life?
