Official Theatrical Trailer for ‘Avatar’

Avatar - Na'viLast weekend, 20th Century Fox released a three and a half minute theatrical trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar.  Today, the extended feature is available online for your viewing pleasure.

The reactions to the teaser trailer in August were surprisingly mixed, but this longer look should convert most skeptics.  Of course there will still be the too-cool-for-the-room kids who parrot each other with comparisons to Fern Gully, Smurfs, and Delgo, which no one even saw.  But once you get past the hype and Internet posturing, the trailer looks pretty epic.  Admittedly some of the dialogue isn’t the greatest, but Cameron has never been great with talky scenes.

This 2D clip on your computer is awesome, just imagine it in 3-D IMAX…

What do you think? Is it a game changer or not impressive enough?
