Toy Story, the animated film that captured our hearts in 1995 and rocketed Pixar to success with 10 straight hits, is getting a third installment next summer that will revisit the world where childhood toys come to life. The 3-D double bill of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 just completed a lucrative two week re-release that introduced the movies to a new generation and reminded adults what made them so special.
In Toy Story 3, Andy is grown up and headed off to college, leaving his box of plastic memories for his mother to discard in his absence. The script was written by Little Miss Sunshine screenwriter Michael Arndt, and Finding Nemo/Monster’s Inc. co-director Lee Unkrich is at the helm.
