The cult favorite Boondock Saints is finally getting a sequel titled Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. The release date is set for October 30 (the poster simply reads “this fall”), and fans of the first are eagerly awaiting the return of the MacManus brothers. Sean Patrick Flannery, Norman Reedus, and Bill Connolly all returned to the cast for director Troy Duffy. New members of the line-up are the versatile Clifton Collins Jr. and beautiful Julie Benz. Unfortunately no crazy Willem Dafoe in drag again. “There was a firefight!” Looks like Benz is the new undercover cop this time, which might explain the cowboy hat.
The sequel finds the brothers MacManus hiding out in Ireland from their bloody past. Boston isn’t quite finished with them however; the duo returns to right a wrong after they receive word of a murdered priest.
MTV premiered three stills from the movie plus the official poster. They’re already following rule number one of being cool: wear sunglasses indoors. Check out the pictures and poster below:
