What do you get when you combine a young, loud-mouthed actress and a director with an ego the size of a Transformer? A hilarious Hollywood feud spanning three rounds (so far) of intense, outrageous statement slinging.
It started with Megan Fox saying Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen isn’t about acting and any humans are secondary to the fighting robots. Which, by the way, is true despite what director Michael Bay shot back with about making the careers of (insert crazy list of names here).
Then Fox compared working with Bay to Napoleon and Hitler, which naturally made a few headlines in time to promote Jennifer’s Body. (The movie was a flop, by the way.)
This time the director didn’t fire back (at least not right away), but let three “Loyal Transformers Crew” members do the talking in a long open letter rant so dumb you’d think it was written by Bay himself. You can find the forum post in its entirety at DHD, but its basically three unnamed low-level employees trashing her for 1,100 words.
She’s compared to a porn star, taken to task for a bad attitude and for her “awful silly” tattoos, and called “dumb-as-a-rock.” It’s capped with a paragraph kicked off by this quote: “Who is the real Megan Fox? Megan really is a thankless, classless, graceless, and shall we say unfriendly bitch.” Classy.
Bay eventually responded by writing: “I don’t condone the crew letter to Megan. And I don’t condone Megan’s outlandish quotes. But her crazy quips are part of her crazy charm. The fact of the matter I still love working with her, and I know we still get along. I even expect more crazy quotes from her on Transformers 3.” He just had to get his jabs in, didn’t he? These people are pros.
Who wants to bet one of them says something nutty again before the Transformers 2 DVD release date at the end of October?
