Tickets for The Twilight Saga: New Moon are already on sale two months before the November 20 release. More specifically the midnight showtimes at 63 Carmike Cinema locations across America. So if you live in Columbus, Georgia you can purchase them already at Fandango.com and be the first in line.
Generally advanced tickets go on sale about six weeks before the date, but Carmike made a smart business decision to jump the gun. Now if they could just get Robert Pattinson to show up at a random location, they’d already be sold out. You can also sign up for an alert on Fandango when tickets in your area go on sale.
Speaking of Twilight and Fandango, a recent poll on the ticketing website asked moviegoers to select their most anticipated Fall 2009 release. The Twilight Saga: New Moon won with 39% of the vote, beating Avatar‘s 23%. 2012 picked up 16%, Where the Wild Things Are only 9% (!), and Disney’s Princess and the Frog trailed with 7%. Nothing says reliable sampling like Internet polls.
The early availability for Twilight tix follows AMC’s announcement last week that Avatar tickets went on sale for midnight shows four months before the release.
