Teaser Trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Inception

Published by Jeff Leins on August 24, 2009

Warner Bros has released the official teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Inception.  The 58-second video is currently playing in theaters with some prints of Inglourious Basterds.

As far as teasers go this one is pretty perfect.  It psyches up audiences for the film without giving anything about the secretive project away.  The only confirmed plot description is the contemporary sci-fi thriller is set within the “architecture of the mind.”  There have been rumors of a blackmail scandal, but the details aren’t available yet.  The film is still shooting and set pictures were snapped last week in Paris.

Leonardo DiCaprio stars as a “CEO type” and his wife is played by Marion Cotillard.  Ellen Page is his assistant, Joseph-Gordon Levitt an employee, and Ken Watanabe his rival.  Cillian Murphy and Michael Caine also play supporting roles.  Hans Zimmer is creating the musical score for the July 16, 2010 release.

The other teaser making headlines this weekend, James Cameron’s Avatar, shattered the record at Apple.com.  It registered over four million views in the first day, beating the previous 1.7 million benchmark for streaming video.
