Overture Films has released the theatrical trailer for Michael Moore’s new documentary, Capitalism: A Love Story due in theaters October 2, 2009. As expected, the trailer is a lot like the movie will probably be this Fall: brief mentions of facts, plenty of meaningless stunts, and all agenda. If I wanted to watch a bumbling fat guy and security guards for an entire movie, I’d sit through Paul Blart: Mall Cop again.
The teaser trailer in June was his smug face asking audiences to “Save the CEOs” and soliciting donations. In this video he’s attempting a citizen’s arrest and standing outside a bank with an empty bag. What would we do without Big Mike getting to the bottom of things?
Some may defend Moore’s new film as pure entertainment that is fully aware of his extreme left lean. Maybe they’re right. But there’s nothing funny to me about a millionaire making a multi-million dollar movie about people losing their life savings. What do you think?
Capitalism: A Love Story focuses “the disastrous impact that corporate dominance and out-of-control profit motives have on the lives of Americans and citizens of the world.”
