It's not a documentary, Bryan. Bigelow and Boal adapted a fictional movie out of the jobs EOD soldiers do every day. Did you want another Post Traumatic Stress Disorder film instead?

This movie is an embarassment to any EOD Soldier. Bigelow and Boal have successfully made EOD Technicians (Specifically ones associated with a particular EOD Group - They chose a certain patch on the uniforms to do this!) appear as undisciplined, reckless and self-serving.

It is a shame that the writer of this article has bought into the sensationalization that this movie creates of EOD technicians and Soldiers. There is a reason that most of us that do this job come back alive. It is because we do not act in a manner depicted in this movie and are truly professional.
