The enjoyment factor dipped as the ages rise! My son loved it, my hubbie thought it was cool enough, and my dad HATED it. I didn't hate it, wanted to like it (liked #1), but it is just way too shallow and way too long. F/X and action should be the dressings, not life-blood, of a great summer flick; ya still need story to hold it together and characters you care about. Dissappointing!!! But I wouldn't judge anyone who enjoyed it - made my son happy, so it's worth it! You want the audience to do homework before they see this bad movie? I followed the plot just fine, thank you. What little plot there was. When you create a movie off a series the story is very expansive. From the first 15 min i could see where the plot was going from the original series. Yes it jumped a few story timelines to create a movie but when you are writing a movie from a such a large timeline that is expected. The movie was not a book with chapters to follow so it does not have a definite start and finish like other movies that might be more spelled out for people like yourself to follow.
