Teaser Trailer for Michael Moore’s Next Film

Published by Jeff Leins on: June 13th, 2009

Overture and Paramount Vantage have released a teaser trailer for Michael Moore’s next documentary.  The untitled project is scheduled for October 2, 2009 and has been officially described as “a comical look at the corporate and political shenanigans.”

Judging from the trailer shown in select cities this weekend, it will be more of the same Moore’s snarky attitude and far left-leaning agenda.  I used to tolerate his biased look at America, but I’ve grown pretty tired of his guerilla methods.  He could just as easily present the cold, hard facts and let citizens decide, instead of staging stunts like the “I’m just trying to help” speeches at the base of countless corporate buildings.  Congratulations on filming an indifferent security guard again, though I think we all could have accomplished that magnificent feat.

Love him or hate him, Michael Moore is successful.  His documentaries occupy half of the top 6 docs of all time, especially Fahrenheit 9/11 which runs away with the top spot at $119 million domestic.  Whether people buy into his extremist political statements, enjoy his movies as entertainment, or show up to get worked into a frenzy over his liberal agenda, Moore makes money doing what he does.  It’s no different than people tuning in to hear the successful programs of Bill O’Reilly or Rush Limbaugh, who stir up their own controversy on the other side. See what I mean?  I just wrote two rambling paragraphs of my own for a video that’s just over a minute long.

Glad he’s finding humor in the misfortunes of others. Hopefully his film has some substance.
