Winona Ryder is 38 and could conceivably (ho ho) have had Spock when she was, say, 16 without breaking too many rules, provided Spock is no more than, say, 22. This is the sort of nonsense we've had since Angela Lansbury played Laurence Harvey's mother in the original The Manchurian Candidate (he was 34, she was 37) and reached even greater heights when Angeline Jolie played "Alexander"'s mother— when Farrell was 28 and she was (wait for it) 29.
