Unwanted Sequel to Bad ‘Good Luck Chuck’

Published by Jeff Leins on: April 28th, 2009

Bad news for anyone who enjoys comedy, movies, or entertainment.  According to an ominous tweet on Jessica Alba’s twitter page, Good Luck Chuck is possibly getting a sequel:

I have good news Before I go, this is for the good luck chuck fans. Just received word that Good luck 2 may Get the greenlight!

Sure she’s excited.  It means she and Cook get to actually keep working despite lacking talent.  How this movie made $35 million in the United States alone is further proof that lame trends exist and run the lives of many Americans.  In case you’re still not convinced, I present to you: “The Hills.”

Luckily Alba’s comment includes “may,” a word I’ll cling to like she followed it up with “be time to make out with Jeff” instead of an announcement of more cinematic garbage.

In her haste Alba seems to have pluralized the word “fan,” but I’m sure that’s just an oversight.  There can’t possibly be more than one person who actually liked that movie.  I even wrote in my review “not only is the movie not funny, but it doesn’t even entertain its target audience.”  Alba is unsexy in the movie, and Dane Cook isn’t able to do his style of humor, which consists mostly of rephrasing the same joke.  He’d be a perfect replacement for Leno.
