Bruno Scores an R Rating, Plus Promo Pics

Last month Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest docu-comedy, Brüno, was slapped with an NC-17 rating on the first pass through the MPAA.  The Borat follow-up was said to contain numerous scenes of a homosexual nature that made the prudish members of the association uncomfortable.

Universal has since re-cut a less offensive version and has apparently scored the target R rating.  According to the studio’s quick tweet on Twitter, Bruno is rated R for “pervasive strong and crude sexual content, graphic nudity and language.” There you have it.  You can see Brüno challenge America again if you’re underage and accompanied by an adult.
