ShoWest 2009 is currently underway in Las Vegas this week and the movie studios are showing off the latest promotional materials for their upcoming blockbusters.
At the Sony presentation, Rory Bruer (the President of Sony Worldwide Distribution) spoke about what to expect in the future before confirming development of Ghostbusters 3 and Spider-Man 4 for 2011. He also continued by announcing another Men in Black movie.
Unfortunately, Bruer didn’t stop to answer questions about any of these sequels so we don’t have any additional details. Presumably Will Smith has been asked to return since it would be crazy to continue the series without him or Tommy Lee Jones.
We already knew about a third Ghostbusters though. In fact, Harold Ramis just talked about it last week with MTV and confirmed the plot rumors. The original cast will return, but serve as “sage mentors” to a new team of younger Ghostbusters.
Remember when movies were original?
