Megan Fox Solidifies Geek Love: Joins Jonah Hex, Fathom

I heard somewhere that Megan Fox has superhuman powers of sexiness.  I didn’t second guess it because that’s the only explanation for her extreme hotness.  Plus when you look into her eyes, you forget what you were questioning in the first place.  Where was I going with this?  Oh yeah…

She’s already made a name for herself by trotting around the sets of the Transformers series in low cut jeans.  (My application for the same job was denied, by the way.)  Now Fox has turned her hypnotic eyes towards two more fanboy favorites, hoping to solidify her role in fantasies everywhere.  Angelina who?

The first movie she has signed onto is Jonah Hex, the Warner Bros/DC Comics project starring Josh Brolin and John Malkovich. She’ll naturally play the love interest of Hex (Brolin) as Leila, a “gun-wielding beauty.”  Think of it like Jessica Alba in Sin City, only she’ll actually be doing some acting.  Well, trying any way…

The other movie she’s working on is Fathom, a comic book series about a woman rescued at sea who later discovers she can control water. Fox will play Aspen Matthews, an amnesiac member of an aquatic race of humanoids.  It sounds pretty cool, I guess, but I still have a crush on the Little Mermaid so I can’t be trusted.

James Cameron in his undying affection for the ocean was once attached to produce, but has since left the project.  Fox is trying to bring it back from the depths of script shelves and onto the screen.  Jordan Mechner, the creator of video game “Prince of Persia,” is writing it for her.  I’m sure he was talked into it like the guys in high school who did her homework.

Megan Fox will next appear in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Diablo Cody’s horror movie Jennifer’s Body.
