Another Terminator Salvation Theatrical Trailer

Published by Jeff Leins on March 2, 2009

Warner Bros has released the theatrical trailer for Terminator Salvation that will be playing in theaters this weekend in front of Watchmen.  The video (also available in high-definition on Yahoo!) gives us a glimpse of how awesome the new Terminator trilogy looks before its release May 21, 2009.

It gives us a better look at the cyborg Marcus (Sam Worthington), the post-apocalyptic world after Judgment Day, and the concentration camps where the machines harvest humans for their stem cells in order to create more life-like robots.  And, of course, Christian Bale as John Connor.  Briefly shown are the rest of the stars. Anton Yelchin as the young Kyle Reese, Moon Bloodgood as Blair Williams, Bryce Dallas Howard as John Connor’s wife Kate, and rapper-turned-actor Common as Barnes.

Oh, before you watch. One detail I missed in the WonderCon summary yesterday is that director McG is trying to get Robert Patrick to return for a fifth Terminator as the T-1000.

In case you missed the previous trailer, check it out here.

Official plot synopsis: In the highly anticipated new installment of “The Terminator” film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.
