Happy New Year, everyone.
Before the ball drops, I wanted to say a few words about 2008. This year was huge for NewsinFilm with a lot of new features and exciting partnerships. I wanted to thank everyone for their continued support. I truly appreciate it. Now if only all of you would leave comments…
I watched more movies than I ever have in a year (it’s well over a hundred), and I hope you enjoyed reading about them as much as I had fun writing about them. I decided not to do a “Worst of 2008″ list because I think I avoided many of the unwatchable movies (I’m looking at you, Love Guru), but I’ll just crown The Happening as the worst I unfortunately saw.
Just missing the “Best of” list are Frost/Nixon, Rachel Getting Married, and Encounters at the End of the World, while the most fun not on the list are Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Iron Man, and Cloverfield.
Here is my top ten of 2008 (the titles will link to my review of the film):
1. Slumdog Millionaire
2. The Dark Knight
5. The Wrestler (review on the way)
6. Revolutionary Road
7. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
8. Let the Right One In
9. Man on Wire
10. In Bruges
What do you think? I want to see your top 10 list, so post one below. Thanks again, and be safe tonight.
