First Look: Brad Pitt in ‘Inglourious Basterds’

Empire Online has the first picture of Brad Pitt as Lt. Aldo “The Apache” Raine in Quentin Tarantino’s WWII epic Inglourious Basterds.  Yes, the title is misspelled intentionally.

Raine is the leader of “The Basterds,” a group of Jewish-American soldiers that scalp Nazi soldiers to spread fear among Hitler’s ranks.  The Basterds are part of a plan to assassinate top officials with the help of German movie star Bridget von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger).

Pitt also signed this week to produce and maybe star in The Odyssey, a futuristic take on the Homer epic at WB.  George Miller has a lot of time on his hands after Justice League was scrapped, so he’ll be writing and possibly directing.
