Trailers for Eagle Eye, RocknRolla

Published by Jeff Leins on June 25, 2008

Two new trailers are online and presumably playing in theaters this weekend with the R-rated Wanted.

The first is a theatrical trailer for Eagle Eye, the second collaboration between Shia LaBeouf and director D.J. Caruso (first was Disturbia) from an original idea by Steven Spielberg. It shows a lot of the same footage we saw in the teaser with Shia being ordered around by a woman on a phone. But it continues on to show co-star Michelle Monaghan being bossed about too. Plus glimpses of Rosario Dawson and Billy Bob Thorton looking authoritative.

I cannot deny how great it looks. I am intrigued. The release date is September 26, 2008.

I understand it might not be the best quality. If so, watch it in high definition at Yahoo.

Next up is Guy Ritchie’s new movie, RocknRolla, a possible return to form for the director of Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. The men will like this trailer because it suggests more great violence/dark British humor, and the women get to see more Gerard Butler without a shirt. Originally on Empire Online.

The movie stars Gerard Butler (300), Thandie Newton (Crash), Gemma Arterton (new Bond girl), Jeremy Piven (HBO’s “Entourage”), rapper Ludacris, and the man himself Tom Wilkinson.

RocknRolla is out September 5, 2008.
