The Warner Bros. team of viral marketing masters are at it again and throwing out random websites that are loosely connected to The Dark Knight. Not sure if all of them are a part of the campaign because sometimes fan-made ones sneak in to the confusion.
The big one is from Empire, where 9 cards are slowly turning to reveal an image of the Joker, and hopefully more once it’s complete. Right now there is a great view of his socks. I’ll make sure to update it when we get something of substance.
Edit: Here is the picture it will become, surrounded by headlines.
The Gotham Times – A fictional newspaper updating fans on the happenings in a fictional city where men fly around like bats and fight crime. Looks like the mental hospitals are overcrowded though.
The Ha Ha Ha Times – Same as the Gotham Times, only the Joker and his crew have defaced it with wacky headlines.
Remembering Gina – A site dedicating to remembering a fictional girl named Gina that was murdered by a local Gotham gangster. Below are some prepackaged comments like “Thank you for being you Gina.” Wow, touching. And then there’s, “You are my lil sister and you will always be in my heart.” Informative. And then a girl who overuses the word amazing to describe things, especially Gina’s famous mac and cheese.
Gotham National Bank – Please put your money in our bank, we’re robbed on a weekly basis.
We Are the Answer – Report your local corrupt cops.
Gotham Police Department – Right now there isn’t much to it. They’re recruiting more people for their “modern” police force. There’s a threat level meter and a notice about a city-wide curfew.
Why So Serious Personality Profile – A survey you can fill out to see if you have what it takes to be a Joker henchman.
